South Bend Elkhart, IN, October 22, 2026 —

Notre Dame senior guard Hannah Hidalgo has been named a Preseason AP All-American for the third consecutive season, extending a run of recognition that follows a standout statistical showing in the previous season.

Hidalgo led the Atlantic Coast Conference in scoring and the nation in steals, according to the information provided about the honor. The figures establish her standing in two areas of performance, though specific totals, rankings beyond those descriptions and the season dates were not provided.

The preseason selection recognizes Hidalgo before the upcoming season begins. Being named for a third straight year makes the announcement notable as a continuing distinction, while the stated scoring and steals leads offer context for the recognition. The information available does not identify other players selected, provide the full preseason team, or include comments from Hidalgo, Notre Dame or the Associated Press.

No additional details were provided about the selection process, when the announcement was made, or the schedule for Notre Dame’s upcoming season. The available information also does not include Hidalgo’s individual scoring or steals averages, the margins by which she led the conference and nation, or other statistics from her previous season.

Accordingly, the confirmed details are limited to Hidalgo’s status as a Notre Dame senior guard, her third consecutive preseason AP All-American designation, and her leads in ACC scoring and national steals in the past season. Further particulars about the honor and her statistical record were not included in the announcement summary.
