A-iPower Corp. Launches AiQ, a New Portable Standby Power Solution for the Home
PR Newswire
OLIVE BRANCH, Miss., Oct. 27, 2026
OLIVE BRANCH, Miss., Oct. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — AiPower today announced the AiQ13000iRT (AiQ), a new category of portable standby power designed to give homeowners the capabilities of traditional standby systems combined with the flexibility of a portable inverter generator. AiQ can be configured for home backup or easily moved using its wheel kit for use at jobsites, campsites, events, off-grid properties, and other locations.
Delivering up to 13,000 starting watts and 10,500 running watts on gasoline, AiQ is designed to power critical household loads including refrigerators, HVAC systems, pumps, lighting, internet and other appliances. Digital Inverter technology produces regulated power with less than 3% THD for clean, stable power for sensitive electronics and connected devices.
“Consumers are no longer forced to choose between the convenience of home standby power and the flexibility of a portable generator,” said Thomas Gallagher, VP of Product Development. “AiQ brings those two worlds together, ready at home when the power goes out, then go wherever power is needed next.”
Powerful Backup Without Permanent Installation
With an MSRP of $2,699, AiQ offers a cost-effective alternative to permanently installed standby systems, which involve professional installation, concrete pad, electrical and fuel-line work, permitting and other costs. AiPower estimates potential savings of approximately $5,000 to $10,000, depending on the home, location and installation requirements.
Safety First
AiQ is designed to solve one of the biggest problems with portable generators: safe operation during bad weather. Traditional portable generators generally cannot be operated in rain, which can lead homeowners to place them in garages, under porches, or too close to the home, creating a serious carbon monoxide risk. Portable generators used improperly in enclosed or poorly ventilated environments result in hundreds of deaths in the USA each year.
AiQ changes that equation. Its fully enclosed, weather-ready design is built to remain outdoors and operate in rain and other inclement weather, so homeowners can keep the generator where it belongs: outside and away from occupied spaces. That means less setup during an outage, less temptation to move the generator into an unsafe location, and power that is ready when the weather is at its worst.
Remote, electric and recoil starting adds convenience, including the ability to start the generator remotely from inside the home. Low Idle technology automatically adjusts engine speed to the connected load to help reduce fuel consumption and operating noise, while inverter technology provides quieter operation than a typical open-frame portable generator.
CO WATCH-GUARD adds another layer of protection by continuously monitoring carbon monoxide levels and automatically shutting down the engine if increasing CO levels are detected.
Availability
The AiPower AiQ13000iRT has an MSRP of $2,699, with broader availability expected in early December 2026. Consumers can learn more and reserve a unit through AiPower’s website at www.aipower.com
