THE MALLORY OPENS AT THE STORIED TERMINAL WAREHOUSE, CREATING A BOLD NEW STAGE FOR CULTURAL GATHERINGS
PR Newswire
NEW YORK, Oct. 13, 2026
Convene Hospitality Group’s first standalone special-events venue pairs landmark architecture, flexible space, and high-production capabilities
NEW YORK, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Convene Hospitality Group (CHG) today announced the opening of The Mallory, a new special-events destination that marks the next chapter of West Chelsea’s storied Terminal Warehouse. Set within the landmark 1891 building where freight trains once traveled through its iconic tunnel, The Mallory spans 50,000 square feet across three floors and accommodates up to 550 guests. Exposed brick, timber beams, arched windows, industrial sliding doors and sweeping Hudson River views meet flexible layouts and purpose-built production infrastructure designed for celebrations, galas, fashion shows, private dining, product launches, awards, receptions, and immersive brand experiences.

The Mallory’s three floors are designed as a stage for moments with lasting cultural and personal significance. Guests arrive through Terminal Warehouse’s iconic tunnel and enter a dramatic reception lounge anchored by a 25-foot bar. From there, the experience unfolds across a grand event hall, flexible galleries, and intimate supporting spaces that can be tailored to the rhythm of each occasion.
The venue takes its name from George B. Mallory, the original architect of Terminal Warehouse, which was completed in 1891 as an integrated freight hub connecting rail, river, and city. Original sliding boxcar doors and ceilings reaching 20 feet preserve the building’s industrial character, while the interior design interprets that history for a contemporary hospitality setting. Behind the scenes, best-in-class infrastructure from CHG’s Event Production Studio supports the most ambitious creative visions. The design also draws on West Chelsea’s industrial legacy, including the West Side Cowboys who once rode ahead of freight trains along Eleventh Avenue to clear their passage.
“The Mallory represents exciting new territory for Convene Hospitality Group and a direct response to clients seeking one-of-a-kind venues that perform as beautifully as they present,” said Ryan Simonetti, president and CEO of Convene Hospitality Group. “As our first standalone special-events venue, it allows us to bring our hospitality and production expertise to an even wider range of social, cultural, and lifestyle occasions. It is a privilege to help write the next chapter of this landmark and create a place where New York’s next great moments can take shape.”
CHG’s Event Production Studio’s purpose-built infrastructure supports every stage of production, including a custom motorized truss, theatrical lighting, guest rigging points, integrated technology, a commercial-grade catering kitchen, staging pantries, private entrances, a green room, and a VIP suite. Preferred vendor partnerships, in-house bar packages, and personalized planning support allow every element to be tailored to the occasion.
“The Mallory was designed to adapt to virtually any vision while retaining the architectural integrity that makes it such a stunning venue” said Nathan Atkinson, General Manager of The Mallory. “We’ve choreographed the experience from the arrival through the tunnel to every transition that follows, creating a seamless journey that feels considered from beginning to end.
The opening expands CHG’s portfolio of hospitality-led brands and advances the company’s mission to create places and experiences that bring people together. The Mallory is CHG’s dedicated expression for special events and experiential gatherings, complementing Convene, etc.venues, NeueHouse, and The Aperture.
The Mallory is officially open and is accepting event inquiries. Located at 261 11th Avenue, its event entrance is on 12th Avenue between West 27th and West 28th Streets near the High Line, Hudson Yards, Chelsea Piers, and the Javits Center, with access from Penn Station and multiple subway lines.
